Compatibility note

Version reality check

Version 1.21.0 is the latest documented build here. It updates name mappings for No Man's Sky 6.4 (The Swarm) and adds the new items and rewards shipped with that update.

Compatibility note

Patch-day gaps happen

Fresh updates can leave some rewards, parts or save fields incomplete for a while even when the core editor still works.

Compatibility note

Game Pass can change faster than Steam or GOG

If save detection breaks on Game Pass, check the current path before you assume the editor itself is broken.

Known limitations

Known limits and patch lag.

New rewards, items and platform quirks do not always arrive at the same speed.

  • Major No Man's Sky updates can add items, rewards or JSON sections faster than the editor mappings are updated.
  • Game Pass and Microsoft Store save paths can change, so save discovery is not equally stable across all platforms.
  • PS4 editing still depends on Save Wizard and follows its own workflow.
  • Raw JSON, mission repair and seed-level edits are advanced work.
  • Community workarounds and hotfixes can exist, but they are not the same thing as official GoatFungus files.
